Extractions

a) Extractions are needed when the prognosis of a tooth is determined questionable, poor or hopeless.
b) Teeth requiring extractions include one or more of the following:

i) Teeth with to much decay to fix

ii) Teeth that have broken leaving too little natural tooth to support a filling or crown

iii) Sometimes the bone supporting an otherwise healthy tooth is too far deteriorated that the tooth requires extraction.

c) Extractions become a treatment option when other efforts to save a tooth are deemed too expensive by the patient
d) Our clinic will determine on a case-by-case basis if a specialist would be more effective in removing a tooth.
